The F 650 is a dual-purpose motorcycle, and was one of BMW's first chain-driven motorcycles. It really shows BMW's determination to make great bikes. It was intended to work well on roads as a tourer and off the roads aswell. The "Dakar" model also helped motorcyclist Richard Sainct win the Dakar rally in 1999 and 2000.
